SOLON, Ohio -- A Solon family’s dog will make her big-screen debut later this month when an independent film shot in Northeast Ohio premieres at the Sundance Film Festival.

Furgie, a golden retriever and yellow Labrador mix owned by Elizabeth Frey and her family, appears as the family dog in the film “Carousel.”

The movie will debut at Sundance in Utah and be available for at-home viewing through the festival’s online platform.
