Film and media productions drive jobs, investment, and growth in Northeast Ohio.

In 2025, GCFC worked with the Ohio Legislature to strengthen Ohio’s Motion Picture Incentive Program by enacting a more competitive rolling application process. GCFC played a crucial role in pushing to increase the annual production incentive cap to $50 Million in 2024.

In 2024-2025, GCFC secured total combined production budgets of $256.5 million to spend and create jobs in Northeast Ohio.

It's important to note that, as a non-governmental 501(c)3, GCFC sees none of this economic windfall to support its important work.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Over 300 productions have filmed in Ohio since 2007, including commercials, documentaries, independent and studio feature films, music videos, public service announcements, photo shoots, television shows, video games, and web series.

GCFC continues to push to take Ohio’s media industry to the next level by leading efforts to increase the OMPTC and provide vital industry infrastructure that will allow the state to attract larger productions. With these in place, the Ohio's production industry will generate thousands more jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars more in economic impact.
