Hello, I am Leonard Vesely—Lenny for short.

My career aspirations in the film industry are, foremost, to become an animator and develop my own animated productions while gaining knowledge and experience in storytelling, artistic styles, and voice acting. What fuels my desire to be an animator is that animated stories have helped me develop my knowledge, social skills, and sense of community through unique art styles and narratives. Some of my favorite films and TV shows include Avengers, SpongeBob, Princess Mononoke, Star Wars, and Ed, Edd n Eddy.

I sought to be a shadow at the GCFC because they ARE Cleveland’s welcome wagon. I was inspired by the commission’s lectures, people, and the knowledge in this field. Maria has always been a very helpful person who has guided and supported me in finding new avenues for enriching experiences. My goal is to become a professional filmmaker in the animation pipeline, creating my own storytelling content that engages audiences.

I appreciate all the opportunities, experiences, and connections the GCFC has offered.
