The Athens Film Office (AFO) is accepting submissions for the 2027 edition of The Owl Screenwriting Workshop. Held in Athens, Greece, from January 12–15, 2027, this intensive, residential development program is curated to accelerate bold, audience-driven feature films and television projects positioned for the international market.
The Owl Workshop, launched by the Athens Film Office, supports the development of film and television projects with global appeal while highlighting the unique production advantages Athens offers the screen industry.
The workshop serves as a critical bridge for creative talent, connecting emerging screenwriters directly with leading international producers, executives, and decision-makers. Up to ten (10) selected professional writers will participate in a unique program consisting of high-level mentorship, one-to-one script notes, masterclasses, panels and networking events with industry professionals.
