Actors and camera crews will return to Sugarcreek once again as state funding will bring a new chapter in the Sugarcreek Mystery series to life.

The Ohio Department of Development will support five upcoming film projects across the state to the tune of $1.3 million.

The money will be issued through the Motion Picture Tax Credit Program, for one feature film, three series and one documentary.

Canton will receive $618,368 for part one of the second series of the Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries, according to a release from the ODOD. Details about the filming have not been released.
