CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- In reality, Chagrin Falls has been compared to a Hallmark Christmas movie snow globe.

During the frigid month of January, reality met fiction as "A Christmas Road To You" was filmed at various spots in the village, such as Triangle Park and the Inn of Chagrin.

According to lead actress Ella Cannon, Chagrin Falls was chosen because of "its exuberant Christmas spirit."

Lead production Elizabeth Snoderly and lead actor Jason Tobias have spent time in Northeast Ohio. Both have always had a desire to create a cinematic experience in the village.

"It felt like a no-brainer to us. The town had done so much of the work for us with all the beautiful decorations and just by looking the way it does in general," Cannon said.

"A Christmas Road To You," written by Cannon and Tobias, is about a fierce snowstorm that cripples air travel, resulting in their characters sharing a rental car on a road trip to their Christmas destinations. 

One of the stops on the road trip is Chagrin Falls.
