CLEVELAND — Lights! Camera! Action!
Hollywood is returning to Ohio with three feature films and one TV series filming in the Buckeye State -- including three productions in Cuyahoga County.
The Ohio Department of Development announced this week that more than $17 million in state tax credits were being awarded to support these film and TV productions.
So what projects are getting the tax credits?
While specific details about the three movies aren’t currently known, our news partners at Cleveland.com report “The Land” is an upcoming Hulu series, which stars Christopher Meloni of “Law & Order” fame portraying the role as head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
These projects are expected to create around 115 new jobs combined with more than $59 million in eligible production expenditures and $215 million in total production costs, according to the Ohio Department of Development.
“The Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit was created in 2009 to encourage and develop a strong film industry in Ohio,” according to the state.
