CLEVELAND, Ohio (WLIO) — The biggest movie in the United States over the July 11 weekend featured Superman as its star, but Ohio also played a major role.
It’s fitting that parts of James Gunn’s film were shot in Cleveland, as Superman’s creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, dreamed up the Man of Steel while attending high school in the Cleveland suburb of Glenville.
Moviegoers may have noticed that scenes in the DC summer blockbuster featured familiar landmarks from both Cleveland and Cincinnati.
