CLEVELAND (WJW) — The excitement surrounding the new “Superman” movie was felt across the country, but perhaps nowhere stronger than in Cleveland, Ohio.

Not only is Cleveland the birthplace of Superman, but the movie, which officially hit theaters Friday, is filled with scenes filmed right here in Cleveland.

Here at Fox 8, we’ve compiled a list of eight filming locations you can easily walk to, a self-guided Metropolis tour, if you will.

Start in Public Square, where a lot of action was filmed.

Just off Public Square is Key Tower which served as the headquarters for Stagg Enterprises.

The old Leader Building was used for the Daily Planet where Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olson work.
