After graduating from North Royalton High School in 2000 and going off to college in New York, David Joseph Craig headed off to the West Coast to try to make something of himself in show business.
His accomplishments include serving as a producer on two Joel Edgerton-directed movies, 2015’s “The Gift” and 2018’s “Boy Erased,” in which Craig also performed.
This feels like the big moment for him, however.
He and his husband, Brian Crano (“Permission”), will see the limited theatrical release of “I Don’t Understand You,” a comedy-horror movie they co-wrote and -directed.
It stars Nick Kroll (“Big Mouth”) and Andrew Rannells (“The Book of Mormon”) as a couple who is years into the process of trying to adopt a newborn. On the precipice of matching with a birth mother (Amanda Seyfried), they slip away to Italy for a vacation before becoming dads.
