What’s happening? My name is La’Rayja Hill, and I am a 2025 graduate from Cleveland State University with my B.F.A. in Film & Television Production; focusing on Writing/ Directing. I am originally from Youngstown, Ohio, but Cleveland’s been my home for some time.

Outside of filmmaking, my hobbies include singing/songwriting, dance, photography, graphic design, swimming, and being a BIG GOOF. My favorite films change on a regular basis, right now it’s ‘I Love Boosters’ by Boots Riley. I’m currently binging ‘Reno 911’ and just finished an amazing limited series called ‘The WONDERfools’ (10/10 would recommend).

I wanted to Intern at the GCFC because it was about time to learn the realistic aspects of filmmaking and I didn’t just want to sign up for the next workshop - I wanted to DO THE WORK. Be on the inside and build my skill sets. I am looking forward to being out in the field and working on projects that consist of showing mental fortitude, haha. Preparing and working on the work behind the scenes - and not just daydreaming about saying “ACTION!” My career aspirations are to continue growing as a screenwriter and overall artist/creator in my chosen visual mediums - and to take life a little less serious.
