Thank you for your interest in supporting Film in Cleveland!

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission (GCFC) is the only nonprofit dedicated to driving economic development and job creation by cultivating a robust film and television industry in Northeast Ohio.

GCFC was the driving force behind the passage of the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit (OMPTC) in 2009. Since then, media projects in Ohio have generated $1.38 billion in economic impact and created 7,092 full-time equivalent jobs.  More than 70% of Ohio’s film tax incentive spending occurs in Greater Cleveland, thanks to our work.

Behind those astounding numbers are real people. Did you know that 95% of people who work on a film set will never walk the red carpet?

Those are the people directly impacted by the work we are doing – local professionals who handle everything from cameras, lights, and transportation to catering, wardrobe, and makeup. Plus all those working for hotels, bars, restaurants, dry cleaners, coffee shops, and hardware stores that productions rely on when they come to town.

YOU can partner with us, and together, we will continue to build Northeast Ohio into a premier media production destination that creates jobs for our hard-working community members and generates millions in economic impact.

YOUR partnership will empower us to advance our mission:

Advocacy – Advocate and improve the OMPTC program, which is the first priority item for productions thinking about filming in Northeast Ohio.

Attraction – Attract productions from all over the world. GCFC is the sole entity in Northeast Ohio that facilitates production, whether in town for scouting or shooting. GCFC actively reaches out to producers, and decision-makers from studios all over the globe to promote our region as a place to film.

Workforce Development – GCFC is committed to helping train the local workforce to be ready for productions by developing relationships with film schools and programs, offering internships, info interviews, networking mixers, online FilmSkills training, and workshops with industry experts.

But we can’t do it alone. GCFC does not receive any funds from the media productions we work to attract here. We need YOUR help!

By joining us in our mission, you are making a statement that you, or your organization, are invested in the growth of this powerful industry that is part of the ongoing renaissance of Northeast Ohio.

Please consider investing in this important work! For questions, contact Chief Diversity Officer, VP Corporate & Community Engagement Lowell Perry Jr. at 216-499-3915 or [email protected].
