CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns will be playing on Super Bowl Sunday — sort of.

Fans will have to wait to see if the real Cleveland Browns — the team coached by Todd Monken and led by quarterback Deshaun Watson — reach Super Bowl LXI in Los Angeles on Feb. 14. The fictional Cleveland Browns — the team featured in Hulu’s upcoming drama series “The Land” — will make their debut not long after the big game ends. The show’s first two episodes will premiere on the streaming service at midnight on Feb. 15. New episodes will follow weekly.

The series, from “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman, centers on two families connected by football. Christopher Meloni (“Law & Order: SVU”) plays the Browns’ down-on-his-luck head coach Danny Roarke, who rests his fortunes on his son, Ohio State quarterback Connor Roarke (Sam Corlett), after drafting him with the No. 1 overall pick.
