Sparks fly between Greta Garbo and John Gilbert in Flesh and the Devil(1926), a tale of desire, friendship, and divided loyalties. Their electric chemistry helped ignite an offscreen romance—and remains a powerful draw a century later. Experience this silent classic with an original jazz score performed live by the Dan Bruce Trio at Cleveland Public Library’s Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium. Stay afterward for a reception in the lobby. Admission is free; registration is encouraged.

This event continues the Cleveland Silent Film Festival’s mission to present silent-era cinema with live accompaniment by professional musicians. By attending, you support ongoing screenings and educational workshops for local music students and the public.
