The festival circuit can feel like a black box, even for filmmakers who've been submitting for years. This interactive workshop, led by Film Festival Alliance Executive Director Mallory Martin, pulls back the curtain, walking participants through how the festival ecosystem actually works today, from tiered strategy and premiere status to getting real value out of every acceptance. Filmmakers, producers, and reps will build a first-draft Festival Strategy Map for their own project and leave with a concrete plan for what to do before, during, and after a festival — not just how to get in, but how to make it count. Bring one project (finished, near-finished, or in development) and be ready to dig in.
