Remember the name Carling Black Label beer? It was produced in a former automaker’s plant at the end of Prohibition. Directed by lifelong Clevelander Michael Suglio, this film reveals the city’s rich history of brewing lager-style beer. The film includes interviews with top brewery owners from Great Lakes Brewing Co., Market Garden Brewing Co., and Jolly Scholar, among others including historians and owners of historic local bars.
