This session is NOT a tutorial on securing project funding, but to better position your business to pitch investors and other stakeholders.

We will focus on establishing and developing the broad business fundamentals needed to effectively build a sustainable career as a small business and filmmaker. Topics will include:

• Managing your film production company as a small business
• Value of having a clear vision, business plan & accounting systems
• The importance of the right tools & planning before filming starts
• Tips on pitching, networking & building your support team
• Distribution strategy & impact campaigns
• Utilizing resources & connections of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission
