We have open competitions for films and scripts in the following genres: fantasy, horror/slasher, horror-comedy, horror suspense/thriller, action, sci-fi, and fantasy.

The International Horror Hotel Film Festival and Convention is held every June in Northeast Ohio. The 2026 festival marks our 15th edition.
We have yearly competitions for films, scripts and music videos in the following genres: fantasy, horror, horror-comedy, slasher, sci-fi, martial arts, lgbtq+ and suspense-thriller, as well as a yearly horror film scoring competition. At the event, we also have live scream queen, FX makeup, and monologue competitions.
A new film competition called Room 237 was established in 2024 and teams compete for cash prizes
The event features four days of film screenings, two days of panel discussions and lectures, a convention free to the general public, special guests, networking parties, live competitions and more.
Over 750 people attended in 2025. In June 2026, enjoy four days of films, fun, and frights at The Crowne Plaza Hotel Airport in Cleveland, Ohio.
