About This Event

"It all starts first with the vision." - Robert Banks

Get ready to make movies—literally with your own hands! Families will explore the magic of filmmaking through hands-on activities that bring images to life. Spin a zoetrope to see still drawings turn into moving animation, collage and draw on real celluloid to create your own short films, and watch your creations come alive on a projector. This open-house workshop lets you drop in anytime, experiment, and take home a piece of your very own film. Perfect for ages 5–105, it’s a playful celebration of creativity, Cleveland’s film history, and the art of making movies from scratch.
