Noted as one of the top ten biggest film festivals in the country dedicated to films by and about people of color, the festival will showcase more than 70 feature films, shorts, special features, animated films and documentaries with both in-person and online screenings.
This year’s theme is Afrofuturism 2. Afrofuturism is what you get when you mix science and technology with the African diaspora or as Ingrid LaFleur describes…”A way of imaging possible futures through a Black cultural lens.”
