6/27/17 - Quickfire Productions LLC is casting talent for a product video featuring firearm shooting targets. This is a paid position, and they are casting three roles:

  • Male, 21-35. Talent REQUIRED to have experience shooting firearms (rifles, shotguns, etc.). Must be able to shoot targets from 100-300 yards.
  • Male, 60+, "Grandpa." Must be comfortable around firearms.
  • Male, 8-13. Must be comfortable with and able to shoot a BB gun, air rifle, etc.

5/16/17 - Jean Zarzour, owner of Find Your Voice, is offering 8 week courses in TV & Film Acting in Lakewood, Ohio. Jean is a 30 year veteran of TV, Film, Stage and Voice Over work, internationally, most recently seen in the feature film "The Pickle Recipe" at Cedar Lee Cinema. Jean also appears as a recurring character, Marybeth, on WGN's "Outsiders" and you will see her as Delilah in the new NBC drama, "GONE." Jean has taught Acting, Dance, Voice Acting & Presentation Technique for over 25 years in Western Europe and students across the US. 

NO AUDITION REQUIRED. Classes will meet 8 Saturdays, June 24-August 12, 1-3:30 pm, with a Marketing Seminar on August 13th from 1-5pm. In the 4 hour Marketing Seminar you'll learn the following:

  • How to create an Acting Reel(s) and that get you work

  • How to market your reels 

  • How to utilize social media to it's fullest 

  • How to get an agent in your region and beyond

  • How to get work without an agent

  • How and when to join the union SAG-AFTRA or compete without one

  • How to expand your market with self taped TV & Film auditions 

  • How and where to buy the best and least expensive audio and video recording equipment.

  • How to keep your demo updated with or without hiring an editor

  • How to create business cards, postcards and othr "hard" materials

  • How to create your own niche business for regular work

Classes are held at the home of Jean Zarzour 2300 McKinley Ave. Lakewood, Ohio 44107.

James Madio Studios, in association with the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, presents an ongoing, advanced class designed for serious actors. Under the direction of award-winning actor, director, writer and producer James Madio, actors will develop the physical skills and auditioning skills needed to be a successful actor in film and television. Study will include:

  • Monologues
  • Improvisation
  • Character Breakdown
  • Scene Study
  • Sensory Work
  • Audition Essentials
  • Industry Ethics/Terminology
  • Relaxation

Classes are held weekly on Thursdays, 6:30 to 9:30pm.  Cost is $175 per month.  Classes will be held in the offices of the Chagrin Documentary Film Festival at 49 W. Orange St. (Coach House Square), Chagrin Falls, OH 44022.  Class size is limited, and only actors 18 and older may attend.

UPDATE: Second class added on Tuesdays, 6:30-9:30pm. Classes meet weekly. Auditions will be held Thursday, January 19th and again on January 26th from 5:30 to 6:30pm. Prospective students should prepare a 1-3 minute monologue for their audition.

Broadcast Sports and Live Event Production Program

The Sports and Live-Entertainment Production Pilot is designed to give enrolled students hands-on technical training and knowledge needed to acquire entry-level positons in the broadcast sports and live-event or A/V industry. The hands-on training will be conducted using Image Video Tele production’s HD 30’ remote production truck and a smaller remote (flypack) set up. The lead instructor and director will be Pat Murray who recently retired from SportsTime Ohio/WKYC-TV as the Director of Baseball Operations and has 40 years in the broadcast industry, particularly sports.

Motion Picture Intensive 5 Week Training Workshop

This program is designed to prepare future film and media technicians and crew members for entry-level positions in the industry. It was developed with the help of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission and IATSE Local 209. The course provides a unique opportunity to learn directly from professionals successfully working on Cleveland feature film and commercial sets. A new class has been scheduled for January 2, 2018.
