Student Film Hiring Crew & Casting:

The Columbia University thesis film SWEET LADIES, GOOD NIGHT is filming this summer in Akron, Ohio, from Monday, June 16 through Wednesday, June 18. The dedicated NYC team is looking for a knowledgeable, responsible Unit Production Manager familiar with both the Akron area and the practicalities facing independent filmmakers. The shoot promises to be laid back, professional and great experience. The film is slated to debut at Columbia's NYC and LA film festivals next year. Also, we are holding local auditions for male and female actors between the ages of 30 - 45 on Saturday, May 17 in Akron, Ohio from 12 - 5 PM. The film is a David Mamet-esque, pitch black comedy, and the filmmakers are looking for quirky, interesting, real people dedicated to their craft. Production Coordinator/Assistant Director Job

We are a Swiss crew planning to shoot a documentary film in Cleveland from September 2008 until June 2009.

We are looking for a smart and efficient person, preferably with film production experience, who would be both our local coordinator while the crew is away, and the assistanct director during the shooting itself.

This person will:

--take part in the research and selection of characters

--liaise with the individuals who will feature in the fillm

--organize the shooting schedule and logistics

--assist the director during the interviews and on the set

The over ll work load will be spread over 10 months.  Within these 10 months, there will be a total of approximatel 20 weeks of shooting when the assistant director will be required to work full time.  Off shooting periods, the assistant director should be able to devote approximatel 1 day a week to the preparation of the film.

Requirements:

Outstanding scheduling and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Flexible work schedule

Previous experience of film productions clearly a plus

Ability to speak French clearly a plus plus!

Nehst Creations LLC

We are currently looking for original, targeted tv/web series concepts for a partner of ours who is developing ongoing tv/web series. We are looking for innovative content-- four ongoing web series in 1-3 minute segments. We need one series for each of the following demographics: African American, Latino, Asian and the 55 year old plus audience.

Series should include ongoing characters, hooks to build a return audience, and opportunities for product-related themes. We invite you to pitch materials you have already created, or new ideas you propose. We would like to see either a treatment, an outline of a series, or some written tv/web series.
